Job summary

Global Investment Bank is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join the T+1 Settlement Programme within regulatory change and post-trade technology teams. You will design and build Java applications to support the move from T+2 to T+1 across UK and European markets.

The role focuses on distributed systems, microservices and enterprise messaging, working with stakeholders across technology, operations and regulatory teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions for post-trade platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience building distributed systems and microservices.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration and messaging technologies.
• Experience working within investment banking or capital markets environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop strategic Java applications supporting the T+1 settlement programme.
• Deliver enhancements across post-trade, settlement and trade processing platforms.
• Work closely with business analysts, operations teams and technology stakeholders.
• Build scalable event-driven and microservices-based solutions.
• Contribute to system design, architecture and technical direction.
• Support testing, migration and implementation activities associated with regulatory change.
