Job summary

MW Recruitment Limited is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join a growing engineering team delivering post-trade tech in a cloud-first environment. Work on APIs, client reporting platforms, and web portals for capital markets, collaborating with Product, Client Services and Engineering leadership.

You will design and deliver enterprise-grade software, influence architectural decisions, and promote engineering best practices while mentoring junior developers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial Java development experience.
• Strong Java 11+ and Spring Boot development.
• Experience building microservices and distributed systems.
• Tests: TDD, JUnit, Mockito, Spock.
• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Solid understanding of SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Knowledge of capital markets or financial services is a plus.
• Experience mentoring or leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance Java-based applications, APIs and web platforms.
• Customise trading systems and extend third-party platforms.
• Build scalable microservices and distributed applications.
• Write clean, testable code following SOLID and patterns.
• Translate requirements from stakeholders into technical solutions.
