Job summary

Intelligent Resourcing Solutions Ltd is seeking a Senior Java Developer for a 100% hands-on software development role. You will design, develop, enhance, and deliver robust Java applications and microservices, focusing on Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, SOAP, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies.

The role emphasises TDD/BDD, CI/CD, databases, containerisation, and secure coding practices. SC or DV clearance is preferred, with ownership of technical design and production delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in CS or related field.
• 10+ years of commercial Java development experience with enterprise apps.
• Strong hands-on with modern Java (Java 21).
• Extensive Spring Boot experience and Spring ecosystem.
• Proficient in RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on with SOAP web services (WSDL/XML).
• Knowledge of TDD/BDD and automated tests.
• Experience with Maven/Gradle, Git, CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and deploy Java applications and microservices.
• Develop RESTful APIs and SOAP web services for internal and external use.
• Own software development from design to deployment and production readiness.
• Write clean, secure, well-documented production code.
• Apply SOLID, OOP, design patterns, and best practices.
• Design scalable microservices architectures for enterprise apps.
• Develop automated tests (unit, integration, API) as part of development.
• Support CI/CD and automated build, test, and deployment processes.
• Produce Low-Level Designs (LLDs) and technical docs.
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps, prod teams on requirements.
