Job summary

Juice Recruitment is seeking a Senior IT and Unified Communications Engineer for Bath with hybrid working. The role focuses on hands-on technical leadership across 2nd/3rd line support, project delivery and customer engagement.

You will manage complex incidents, deploy UC solutions, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a senior IT, communications or technical engineering role.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft 365, Windows environments and business IT infrastructure.
• Solid networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, switching, routing, firewalls and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting or deploying business telephony, unified communications or Microsoft Teams solutions.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems independently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality 2nd and 3rd line technical support, taking ownership of complex incidents through to resolution.
• Install, configure, maintain and support IT, unified communications and collaboration solutions.
• Support Microsoft 365 environments, Microsoft Teams Phone, Teams Rooms and Windows-based infrastructures.
• Deliver onsite customer projects including telephony systems, networking equipment, meeting room technology, displays and AV solutions.
• Configure, test and commission solutions before customer handover.
• Manage customer expectations and ensure service levels are consistently achieved.
• Produce accurate technical documentation and implementation records.
• Collaborate with project teams, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Mentor and support junior engineers while sharing technical expertise across the team.

Our client is a well-established and growing technology solutions provider with a strong reputation for delivering innovative IT, unified communications, and collaboration solutions to businesses across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior IT & Unified Communications Engineer to join their high-performing technical team.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on technical specialist who enjoys a varied role combining advanced support, project delivery, customer engagement, and technical leadership.

Working with a broad range of technologies, you will provide second and third-line support, lead installations, troubleshoot complex issues, and play a key role in delivering business-critical communication and collaboration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Skills & Experience

Desirable Skills

• Microsoft Teams Phone, Direct Routing or Teams Rooms experience.
• AudioCodes SBC or similar Session Border Controller experience.
• Knowledge of Zoom, 8x8, GoTo Connect, 3CX, SIP services and telephony platforms.
• Meeting room AV and video conferencing technologies.

Relevant Microsoft, networking, telephony or vendor certifications.
