We have a great opportunity for an experienced Senior IT Systems Administrator to join our IT Teams based at our campus in Abingdon, UK.

Main Scope of Role: The Senior IT Systems Administrator manages, maintains, and troubleshoots our Windows server infrastructure and application platforms, ensuring smooth deployment and operation of applications and operating systems.

Principal Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and optimize Microsoft Windows Server Environment components.
2. Provide IT systems support and operational services.
3. Participate in project teams to implement new IT systems and services.
4. Troubleshoot IT services issues.
5. Develop and improve process and procedure documentation.
6. Prepare and maintain technical documentation and system procedures.
7. Respond to tickets and system alerts, ensuring change management protocols are followed.
8. Ensure high availability of Windows servers through patching and performance monitoring.
9. Manage ITSD implementation tasks, coordinate with application owners, and ensure timely completion.

Technical Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with Directory services and Microsoft server platforms (2019, 2022).
• Knowledge of IPv4 networking, VPNs, VLANs.
• Experience with VMware virtualization, NAS/SAN storage, and backup technologies.
• Adherence to change management and global IT policies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and technical documentation discipline.
• Experience in regulated environments (ISO27001, GxP) is beneficial.
• Knowledge of IT frameworks such as ITIL, Agile methodologies; Linux knowledge is a plus.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Good communication skills in English and local language.
• Self-motivated, flexible, quick learner.
• Interpersonal skills to motivate and influence others.
• BSc in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
