Job summary

Burns Sheehan is recruiting a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer for a technology-led ecommerce business with a sustainability focus in the UK. The role is hands-on, spanning a virtualised and cloud environment as the team modernises toward a Microsoft-centric setup while keeping business-critical systems secure and highly available.

You will provide 1st-3rd line support, administer Windows Server, Microsoft 365 and Active Directory, manage Hyper-V environments, drive upgrades and migrations,

Qualifications

• Experience providing 1st-3rd line IT support across complex infrastructure.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues promptly.
• Hands-on experience managing virtualised and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide support across 1st - 3rd line, resolving infrastructure and end-user issues
• Administer and maintain Microsoft environments (Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory)
• Support Hyper-V virtualised environments
• Deliver infrastructure projects including upgrades, migrations and improvements
• Monitor system performance, ensuring stability, availability and security
• Support end-user hardware including laptops, desktops and mobile devices
• Work closely with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Maintain clear technical documentation
