Role Overview
We're looking for a proactive Senior Infrastructure Engineer who is just as comfortable being the sole IT point of contact for our 100-person London team as they are spearheading critical global infrastructure and cybersecurity initiatives. Experience in small to medium sized fast-paced tech or gaming organisations is a definite plus.
You'll be instrumental in designing, deploying, and optimizing IT systems and services, supporting our end-users, managing critical infrastructure components, and contributing to the overall stability and security of our IT landscape. We operate primarily in a MacBook/iOS environment, utilizing Google Workspace, Zoom and Slack as our core collaboration platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain core internal IT infrastructure (e.g., servers, backup systems, build environments, device management).
- Configure and maintain our office network infrastructure, ensuring secure and stable connectivity.
- Implement and uphold robust security measures, including endpoint protection, access controls, and incident monitoring.
- Administer and integrate various cloud-based software services, managing access, licensing, and auditing.
- Provide timely and effective technical support to internal users (2nd/3rd line).
- Manage IT assets, including procurement, license tracking, and vendor coordination.
- Support and administer various operating systems (Linux, Windows, macOS) as required.
- Contribute to user onboarding processes, provisioning environments, access, and hardware.
- Develop and maintain IT asset inventory systems.
- Utilize scripting for automation of daily IT tasks.
- Set up and support meeting room collaboration technology
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or systems engineering roles.
- Strong foundational knowledge of networking principles (e.g., TCP/IP, DHCP, VLANs, routing, firewalls).
- Experience with secure remote access solutions.
- Familiarity with various endpoint protection systems.
- Understanding of identity and access management concepts, including directory services and single sign-on.
- Hands-on experience with administering and integrating cloud-based software services.
- Proven experience with IT asset and vendor management, including device management platforms.
- Demonstrated Service Desk experience at a 2nd/3rd line support level.
- Understanding of IT procurement processes and the IT asset lifecycle.
- Basic scripting knowledge for automation.
- Familiarity with modern video conferencing and meeting room hardware setup
