Job summary

Salt is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst for a major financial services organisation in London, focusing on securities, settlement and post-trade services. The role is hands-on, operating between Business and Technology within an Agile delivery environment.

You will gather requirements, develop user stories and acceptance criteria, and drive delivery across the full lifecycle, including UAT and implementation. Strong CSD/post-trade domain knowledge is highly valued.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst in financial services or market infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of securities, settlement, post-trade and custody.
Understanding of Central Securities Depositories (CSDs) and their role.
Familiarity with ISO 15022 and ISO 20022 messaging standards.
Experience with Agile/Scrum, SAFe, Waterfall or V-Model delivery.
Ability to elicit, analyse, document and manage complex requirements.
Experience modelling with BPMN, UML, story mapping and data modelling.
Experience supporting testing activities including UAT.

Responsibilities

Act as interface between business stakeholders, technology teams and delivery functions.
Translate business drivers into clear technology and business requirements.
Lead requirements gathering workshops across Business and IT.
Analyse processes, systems and data flows for improvement opportunities.
Produce high-quality requirements, stories and acceptance criteria.
Develop process and system models using BPMN, UML and data modelling.
Support implementation and deployment of system changes.
Create and validate test scenarios and support UAT.
