Grant Thornton UK is seeking an experienced IT Audit Manager to oversee end-to-end IT audit engagements for banking, insurance, asset management and fintech clients in the UK. You will report to directors and partners, plan testing of ITGCs and application controls, and support regulatory framework work including SOC 1/ISAE 3402 and CASS.

• Experience overseeing IT audit engagements end to end
• Supervising teams across multiple locations
• Strong understanding of UK regulatory environment (FCA/PRA)
• Professional qualification in accounting or IT audit with relevant experience.

Responsabilités

• Oversee end-to-end IT audit engagements across a portfolio of financial services clients
• Report to directors and partners on progress, risks and issues
• Plan and review testing of IT general controls and application controls
• Support financial statement audits and regulatory framework work (SOC 1/ISAE 3402, CASS)
• Elevate complex issues early with recommended responses
• Build relationships with finance, technology and information security leaders
• Contribute to proposals and client conversations
• Manage engagement financials (scoping, budgeting, resourcing, fee recovery)
• Lead and coach multi-location and offshore teams
• Be accountable for quality in regulatory inspections (FRC, PCAOB)

Description du poste

• Oversee end-to-end IT audit engagements across a portfolio of banking, insurance, asset management, fintech and payments clients
• Report directly to directors and partners, keeping them informed of progress, risks and issues
• Plan, perform and review testing of IT general controls (ITGCs), application controls and information produced by the entity, and ensure the IT audit plan responds to risks of material misstatement
• Provide assurance supporting financial statement audits and the IT element of regulatory frameworks, including service organisation reporting (SOC 1/ISAE 3402), client assets (CASS) and safeguarding work monitored by the FCA
• Review and sign off deliverables, and elevate complex issues such as ineffective controls or major IT migrations early, with a recommended response
• Build new business relationships with finance, technology and information security leaders, heads of internal audit and audit committees
• Contribute to proposals, tenders and client conversations, and identify opportunities for wider technology, risk and advisory teams
• Manage engagement financials, including scoping, budgeting, resourcing, fee recovery and the impact of scope changes
• Lead and coach multi-location and offshore teams, set high standards, give honest feedback and support wellbeing and progression
• Be accountable for quality, including in regulatory inspections by the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), where relevant

Experience overseeing IT audit engagements end to end and supervising teams across a portfolioA good understanding of the UK regulatory environment, including the FCA and the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA)Experience reporting to and working directly with directors or partnersSignificant IT audit experience in financial services, ideally from a Big 4 or mid-tier firm, or from internal audit or technology risk in a regulated firmA professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CA or an international equivalent), or a recognised IT audit or security qualification (CISA, CISM or CRISC), with relevant experienceStrong knowledge of IT general controls (ITGCs), application controls and ISA (UK) 315, and of linking IT risk to the financial statement auditA track record of high audit quality, demonstrated by strong inspection or internal quality review resultsExperience in fintech, payments, crypto or digital assetsExperience with audit analytics and automated testingSOC 1/ISAE 3402 reporting experienceCASS and safeguarding assurance experience
