Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. in Barrow-in-Furness seeks a Programme Engineering Lead to support the Astute IPMS programme. You will provide technical leadership, guide an integrated engineering team and ensure delivery across cost, quality and schedule.

The role requires strong systems engineering expertise on defence programmes, excellent stakeholder management and the ability to coordinate multiple disciplines through all programme stages. Hybrid on site.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams on complex defence programmes.
• Strong understanding of systems concepts, interfaces and requirements management.
• Excellent planning, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience delivering programme objectives across cost, schedule and quality targets.
• Experience supporting the technical aspects of bids, proposals and business development activities.
• Knowledge of MBSE and requirements engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop the engineering strategy to meet programme objectives with established processes and governance.
• Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team to achieve programme outcomes across cost, quality and schedule.
• Collaborate with Programme and Project Managers to identify opportunities, define technical scope and support delivery planning.
• Monitor and report programme performance, proactively managing risks, issues and dependencies.
• Act as the primary technical contact for customers and key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication.
• Provide technical leadership across multiple engineering disciplines to resolve complex challenges.
