Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Infection Prevention and Control Nurse (Band 7) to lead ward-based IPC practice across our Trust sites in Winchester and surrounding locations.

You will provide expert clinical advice, mentor staff, and drive improvements in infection prevention and control standards while collaborating with antimicrobial stewardship and microbiology teams to protect patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication across professional disciplines.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentorship in IPC settings.
• Experience with quality improvement or change management within infection control.

Responsabilités

• Maintain ward-based IPC service and daily ward rounds.
• Provide expert IPC advice and support to site teams and isolation facilities.
• Lead production of assurance and governance reports for committees and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with antimicrobial stewardship, microbiology and clinical services to reduce infection risks.
