Job summary

Neos Networks is seeking an experienced Network Design Engineer to join our team. Base locations include Reading, Havant or Glasgow with 2-3 days hybrid work. You will design, develop and enhance IP and transmission networks to deliver reliable, scalable connectivity for our customers.

You will produce detailed designs and BOMs, work with PMs and Tier 3 Operations, and help resolve complex network faults while supporting growth and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong telecoms infrastructure design knowledge.
• Experience with IP LAN/WAN connectivity solutions.
• Ability to produce detailed technical designs and BOMs.
• Ability to advise PMs and Tier 3 Operations during delivery and commissioning.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Visio and Excel.
• Strong problem-solving and fault resolution skills.
• Self-motivated and proactive approach.
• Ability to manage priorities and deliver on time with safety focus.
• Experience in network planning and implementation.
• Knowledge of CNI and SCADA systems.
• Familiarity with SDH/PDH, microwave and teleprotection.
• Understanding of ancillary infrastructure requirements (space and power).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance IP and transmission networks to provide reliable, scalable connectivity.
• Ensure network solutions are effectively planned, delivered and operated.
• Provide guidance to colleagues across day-to-day operations and complex designs during delivery and fault resolution.
