Job summary

Addition Solutions is seeking a Senior iOS Mobile Engineer to own native mobile development in a fully remote UK-based role. The contract is 6 months initially, outside IR35, with a day rate of £350–£450 and remote work from anywhere in the UK.

You will design, develop and maintain high-quality iOS apps in Swift, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure performance, security and reliability in highly regulated or AI-native consultancy environments.

Qualifications

• Proven commercial experience delivering native iOS applications.

Senior iOS Mobile Engineer

We're partnering with an innovative, AI-native software consultancy to appoint an experienced Senior iOS Mobile Engineer on an initial 6-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong iOS developer to take ownership of native mobile development, delivering secure, scalable and high-performing applications within a collaborative, fully remote environment.

We're particularly interested in candidates with experience in highly regulated industries, including financial services, fintech, gambling, iGaming or healthcare, or those who have worked within AI-native or software consultancy environments delivering client solutions.

The Opportunity

As Senior iOS Mobile Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, developing and maintaining high-quality native iOS applications using Swift.

Working closely with engineering, design and product teams, you'll take ownership of technical delivery, influence architectural decisions and ensure applications meet high standards of performance, security and reliability.

This is a hands‑on technical role requiring someone who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, contributing to development standards and collaborating effectively across a remote team.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality mobile solutions by:

• Designing, developing and maintaining native iOS applications using Swift.
• Collaborating with engineering, design and product teams to deliver seamless mobile experiences.
• Driving technical and architectural decisions to ensure applications are secure, scalable and maintainable.
• Integrating REST APIs and backend services, implementing secure authentication and effective data handling.
• Optimising application performance, reliability and accessibility.
• Developing automated tests, conducting code reviews and supporting efficient release processes.
• Taking ownership of technical deliverables while communicating effectively with stakeholders across a remote team.

About You

You will be an experienced iOS engineer with strong commercial development expertise, excellent technical capabilities and the confidence to take ownership of complex mobile projects.

You will also have:

• Proven commercial experience designing, developing and delivering native iOS applications.
• Strong Swift development skills, including hands‑on experience with SwiftUI and/or UIKit.
• Solid knowledge of iOS architecture, automated testing, debugging and performance optimisation.
• Experience integrating REST APIs, implementing authentication and handling sensitive data securely.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Essential: Experience within a highly regulated industry (financial services, fintech, gambling, iGaming or healthcare) OR an AI-native/software consultancy delivering client solutions.
• Familiarity with mobile CI/CD pipelines, App Store deployment and release management would be beneficial.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools, security standards or compliance requirements would be advantageous.
