Job summary

J.P. Morgan Personal Investing in London is seeking an experienced iOS developer to enhance our native Nutmeg app. You will work in a collaborative Agile environment, owning tasks from estimation through release, writing tests, and participating in code reviews to ensure high-quality software.

The role requires strong Swift/Xcode, MVVM, REST integration, CI/CD, and teamwork with Product and Operations to deliver secure and scalable mobile experiences.

Qualifications

• English working proficiency required.
• Commercial experience in native iOS mobile application development.
• Strong object-oriented programming skills with Swift and Xcode.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience writing unit tests using XCTest.
• Experience with MVVM + Coordinator and patterns such as SOLID.
• Knowledge of mobile design best practices including Human Interface Guidelines and threading.
• Good knowledge of UIKit, SwiftUI, Foundation, Security, and Combine.
• Experience with iOS deployment, testing, and publishing to the App Store.
• Experience with automated CI/CD processes and tools.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting to maintain a production application.
• Understanding of REST and APIs.
• Experience with Git flow.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with delivery teams, Product, and Operations.
• Nice to have: UI tests with XCUITest.
• Nice to have: design systems, UI development and white-labelling.

Responsibilities

• Follow an Agile SDLC to develop and deliver features for our native iOS Nutmeg application.
• Take ownership of tasks from estimation through release and post-production.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects.
• Write tests for all code delivered and adhere to best practices.
• Own bi-weekly releases and related processes.
• Participate in code reviews to support high code quality.
• Share knowledge through skill-share sessions within the iOS team.
• Propose and collaborate on technical initiatives to improve codebase and tooling.
• Focus on root-cause analysis rather than symptoms.
