Beauty Pie in London seeks a Senior iOS Engineer to shape the future of our mobile experience. You will extend a Swift-based app, refine API integrations, and collaborate with Shopify engineers to deliver a seamless shopping journey for members.

You will mentor junior developers, implement automated tests, and stay ahead of iOS trends to drive growth and customer loyalty in a fast‑growing beauty tech environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the iOS app using Swift with a scalable architecture.
• Integrate APIs to connect the iOS app with Shopify storefront services.
• Collaborate with e‑commerce teams to implement core shopping features via microservices and CommerceTools.
• Define feature requirements with Product Manager, Lead UX Designer, and Shopify Engineers.
• Advance quality with automated tests and monitor performance with Datadog.
• Mentor junior developers and share mobile development best practices.
• Contribute to technology roadmap and ensure cross‑platform alignment.

As a Senior iOS Engineer, you will play an important role in helping our app team shape the future of our mobile presence, ensuring it resonates with the dynamic needs of all Beauty Pie customers.

Working alongside the team, you’ll contribute to enhancing our existing e-commerce functionality while developing innovative new features that transform the app into a holistic beauty experience.

This role involves expanding and refining our Swift based application, optimising API integrations, leveraging Shopify to create intuitive and innovative features that enhance user interaction and drive customer loyalty.

Job Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of the iOS application using Swift, focusing on crafting a robust and scalable application architecture. Ensure the application aligns with the overall business goals and integrates smoothly with existing systems.
• Handle integration of various APIs to connect the iOS application with services in shopify storefront, ensuring we define and satisfy clear contracts and transfer data efficiently.
• Collaborate with the e‑commerce teams to implement core shopping features using a combination of internal microservices and CommerceTools, optimising the app for member engagement and seamless shopping experiences.
• Work closely with our Product Manager and Lead UX Designer, and our Shopify Engineers to define feature requirements, set timelines, and drive continual improvement, ensuring alignment with the strategic vision of the mobile platform.
• Drive quality within the app, adding automated tests and leveraging Datadog to ensure the application's performance, usability, and security meet the high standards our customers expect.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in iOS development, Swift, and related technologies. Actively contribute to the growth mindset of the team by mentoring junior developers and sharing knowledge on best practices in mobile development.

It’s also important to note that you’ll be contributing the following:

• Participate in planning and strategy sessions to shape the technology roadmap and provide insights on mobile technology trends that can boost the company's competitiveness and user engagement.
• Serve as a technical liaison for projects integrating the mobile platform with other digital services, ensuring alignment with web platforms for a seamless user experience.
• Actively participate in initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion within the tech department. Help in mentoring underrepresented groups within the technology field to build a more diverse and inclusive team.
