Job summary

The Pensions Regulator is seeking an Investment Consultant (Principal) to oversee DC, Master Trust and CDC investment supervision from its Market Oversight directorate in Brighton. The role combines relationship management, analysis and policy development to strengthen oversight and improve outcomes for savers.

Qualifications

• Up-to-date knowledge of workplace pension fund investment gained through working with pension schemes, an in-house investment team or an asset manager.
• Experience of working with or within workplace pension schemes on investment issues.
• In-depth knowledge of DC investment strategy.
• Ability to produce high-quality analysis and deliver work to tight timescales.
• Strong communication and influencing skills with people at different levels of seniority.
• Experience of emerging policy areas, such as private markets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee investment strategies across DC, Master Trust and CDC schemes, building strong relationships with schemes, their employers and administrators.
• Develop and monitor frameworks to support market-wide oversight and risk management across investment activities.
• Contribute to investment policy, guidance and supervisory frameworks for DC, CDC and Master Trust schemes.
