Job summary

NHS Professionals is seeking an Advanced Invasive Cardiac Physiologist to join the Linby Cardiology Department at Nottingham City Hospital. You will deliver highly specialised tests, interpret data, and support advanced procedures to inform clinical decisions.

You will provide supervision, training, and contribute to audits and service development while working across Trust sites and participating in the on‑call rota. UK registration and relevant accreditations are required.

Qualifications

• BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent with a relevant postgraduate qualification.
• Competent in interventional cardiac cath lab procedures and cardiac device follow-up.
• Experience in structural cardiology procedures and device implantation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision and training to trainee staff and other healthcare professionals.
• Contribute to clinical audit, research and development activities.
• Lead and support departmental training programmes and service improvements.
• Perform a comprehensive range of highly specialised invasive cardiac investigations and procedures.
• Provide specialist advice to clinicians regarding procedural findings and physiological results.
