Job summary

LemFi is building a go-to financial app for the Global South, and the platform team is the force multiplier enabling rapid delivery across 21 countries. You will design, build and own an internal developer platform that treats engineers as customers, with AI-powered automation and guardrails to accelerate product teams.

As the internal platform lead, you will own cloud infrastructure, cost efficiency, reliability and security, while shaping the roadmap and platform standards.

Qualifications

• Proven track record building internal developer platforms from scratch.
• Deep AWS expertise with cost-efficient, production-grade cloud architectures.
• Strong DevOps fundamentals: Kubernetes, CI/CD, IaC, observability.
• Experience treating internal engineers as customers, backlog ownership.
• Comfortable operating without a spec in fast-moving environments.
• Proficient in Python or Go for automation and tooling.
• Ability to embed AI-powered tooling into platform/workflows.
• Contributed to internal developer portals (Backstage/Port) with outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design and own a self-service internal developer platform with golden paths and templates.
• Embed AI-driven automation for cost optimisation, anomaly detection and tooling.
• Own AWS infrastructure, cost efficiency, reliability, and security posture.
• Act as internal product manager for the platform and maintain a visible roadmap.
• Set and enforce platform standards: IaC, CI/CD, observability, secrets management.
• Identify friction points in the engineering flow using data-driven priorities.
• Work autonomously on a small team, pushing changes to production.
