Job summary

The Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) is seeking a Senior Communications Manager to lead internal communications and engagement across the organisation. You will translate complex regulatory programmes into clear, compelling narratives for staff, driving cross‑team collaboration and alignment with our 'ONR together' strategy.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing and delivering internal communications in a complex organisation.
• Leadership of change communications translating complex projects into clear narratives.
• Ability to set measurable objectives and evaluate communications impact.

Responsibilities

• lead internal communications strategies, campaigns and content in line with our Strategy - ‘ONR together’
• lead change communications campaigns for strategic modernisation projects and workstreams
• support development of engagement channels, following Government Communications Service guidance
• incorporate best practice to ensure communications are fit for purpose and continuously improving
• be an ambassador for the Strategy and Corporate Affairs directorate, integrating strategic communication in milestones
• provide expert and strategic advice on how communications support regulatory activity and modernisation
• ensure communications activities have measurable objectives and evaluation frameworks
• support the development and implementation of a new Communications and Engagement Plan
