Placements24 is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor for a hybrid role based in Randburg, Gauteng. You will plan, execute, and report on audits across financial services functions, ensuring effective risk management and governance processes.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years in internal/external audit, with COSO knowledge, audit software proficiency, and strong Excel skills. Excellent communication and the ability to work independently are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field is required.
• CIA, CA(SA), or CISA certifications are highly desirable.
• 4–6 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, or risk management.
• Solid understanding of internal control principles, COSO, and audit methodologies.
• Experience with audit software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple audit engagements.
• Must be willing to adhere to a hybrid work schedule, with regular attendance at Randburg, Gauteng office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive internal audit plans based on risk assessments.
• Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits to evaluate internal controls.
• Identify control weaknesses, operational inefficiencies, and areas of non-compliance.
• Prepare clear, concise, and actionable audit reports for senior management and the audit committee.
• Follow up on audit findings to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Conduct special investigations as required.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices in internal auditing.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the internal audit function.
