Job summary

Beta in Belfast, Northern Ireland, is seeking an experienced internal auditor to join a friendly team within an industry-leading utility company. You will plan and execute audits under the direction of the Internal Audit Manager, perform risk-based testing, and prepare clear working papers and draft reports with practical recommendations.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years’ internal audit experience and the ability to produce professional audit documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• To plan and execute individual audit assignments in accordance with the annual audit plan and professional internal audit standards, under the direction of the Internal Audit Manager.
• To carry out risk-based testing, gather and analyse evidence, and identify control weaknesses, inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement across audited areas.
• To prepare clear, well-structured working papers and draft audit reports, including findings, root causes and practical recommendations, for review by the Internal Audit Manager.

Essential Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years' internal audit experience. AND
• Experience preparing audit working papers and draft reports to a professional standard.
