Job summary

DFS Group is seeking a Senior Internal Audit Manager to lead a focused in‑house team and support the GHIA in maturing the internal audit function. The role covers diverse areas including retail, manufacturing, logistics and regulated activities, with a balance between hands-on delivery and partnership with a co‑source team.

The successful candidate will manage risk‑based audit plans, build cross‑functional relationships and drive continuous improvement across the Group.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting or auditing qualification (CMIIA/ACCA/CIMA).
• Experience in internal assurance, not just external auditing.
• Background in retail, logistics, IT/cyber, manufacturing or financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Support the GHIA in maturing the internal audit function.
• Lead scoping, fieldwork and reporting across high‑risk areas.
• Build strong relationships with the business and external co‑source teams.
• Develop risk‑based audit plans aligned with strategy and risk profiles.
• Monitor progress of management actions and ensure effective risk mitigation.
• Champion rollout of the new GRC tool for single source of truth.
• Conduct investigations with integrity and discretion.
