Job summary

Isle of Anglesey County Council is seeking an experienced internal audit professional to supervise and lead the Internal Audit Service in alignment with professional standards. The role supports the chief audit executive in delivering governance, risk management and internal controls across the Council.

The post also involves deputising for the chief audit executive when required, ensuring continuity of leadership and adherence to statutory requirements and best practice.

Qualifications

• Experience with governance, risk management and internal controls is desirable.
• Familiarity with professional auditing standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and management to the Internal Audit Service in support of the chief audit executive and in accordance with applicable professional standards.
• Deputise in the absence of the chief audit executive as prescribed by the applicable professional standards.
