Job summary

Modus Careers is partnering with an established interior design studio to recruit a Senior Interior Designer for high-profile UK hotel projects. The role centers on leading design concepts, FF&E development, and presenting ideas to clients, while guiding a junior designer.

You'll contribute to concept development, mood boards, and detailed drawing packages, ensuring the creative intent translates into practical solutions with strong client communication.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience within interior design.
• Strong portfolio in hospitality/hotel or design-led interiors.
• Excellent concept development and visual communication skills.
• Strong FF&E knowledge and specification experience.
• Confident AutoCAD skills.
• Good working knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign.
• Ability to communicate confidently with clients and internally.
• Sufficient technical understanding to deliver a full drawing package.
• Collaborative approach and ability to mentor junior designers.
• UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creative development of hotel interior projects from brief to design packages.
• Create concepts, mood boards and client presentations.
• Develop FF&E schemes, specifications and pricing.
• Produce and oversee detailed interior drawing packages.
• Work directly with hotel operators and present ideas confidently.
• Take ownership of projects while supporting a junior designer.
• Collaborate with the wider studio across hospitality projects as needed.
