Job summary

Mustard, a London-based design studio, is seeking a Senior Workplace Designer for a contract role with hybrid working. The position offers a day rate up to £350 and is Outside IR35, with London-based candidates preferred.

You will lead workplace and commercial interiors projects from concept through delivery, shape design direction, and collaborate with clients, consultants, and suppliers to ensure delivery maintains design intent.

Qualifications

• Senior-level designer with workplace & commercial interiors experience.
• Proven ability to take projects from concept through to delivery.
• Outstanding portfolio of workplace and commercial interior design.
• Strong conceptual and creative design skills with deliverable schemes.
• Excellent understanding of materials, finishes, furniture, spatial planning and detailing.
• Strong technical awareness and understanding of the delivery process.
• Confident working independently and taking ownership of projects.
• Comfortable presenting ideas and communicating with clients and project teams.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Vectorworks experience is highly desirable.
• Candidates without Vectorworks but with a strong Workplace Design portfolio will be considered.

Senior Workplace Designer

A leading London design studio is looking for an experienced Senior Workplace Designer to join its team on a contract basis, with a day rate of up to £350/day.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level designer with a strong background in workplace and commercial interiors, and a proven track record of taking projects from initial concept through to delivery.

The studio is looking for someone who can bring creative direction, technical understanding and strong project experience to the team and work confidently across all stages of a project.

The Role

The successful designer will play a key role across a range of workplace projects, leading and developing design concepts through to detailed design and delivery.

You will be expected to take ownership of your projects, contribute creatively and strategically, and help ensure that design intent is maintained throughout the delivery process.

The role will involve close collaboration with the wider design team, clients, consultants and suppliers, with the opportunity to have a meaningful influence on the quality and direction of projects.

The Ideal Candidate

• Strong Senior Designer-level experience within workplace & commercial interiors
• Proven experience taking projects from concept through to delivery
• An outstanding portfolio demonstrating high-quality workplace and commercial interior design
• Strong conceptual and creative design skills, with the ability to develop ideas into considered, deliverable schemes
• Excellent understanding of materials, finishes, furniture, spatial planning and detailing
• Strong technical awareness and an understanding of the delivery process
