We are seeking a talented Senior Interior Designer to join a leading architectural studio working across a broad spectrum of innovative and context-driven projects. This role is ideally suited to a creative and technically proficient designer with strong conceptual thinking, excellent coordination skills, and a passion for high-quality design.

Operating within a collaborative team, you will take a lead role in developing unique interior design solutions for high-end residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects across the UK and internationally. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to an architecture and design practice that values fresh perspectives, rigorous inquiry, and a deep commitment to crafting lasting, site-specific spaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the interior design development across all project stages, from concept to completion
  • Develop and communicate design narratives through drawings, presentations, material palettes, and 3D visualisation
  • Work closely with architects and external consultants to ensure a holistic integration of interior and architectural elements
  • Oversee the production of interior documentation including layouts, details, FF&E schedules, and specifications
  • Conduct material research and source finishes, furniture, fixtures, and fittings in line with project vision and budget
  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers during project execution, ensuring quality control and design intent is upheld
  • Manage internal reviews and contribute to the evolution of the studio’s interior design approach
  • Provide mentorship and direction to junior team members
  • Ensure documentation and drawings meet internal standards and are compliant with regulatory requirements
  • Engage in collaborative design workshops and contribute to the studio’s ongoing design discourse

Key Requirements

  • Degree-qualified Interior Designer or Interior Architect
  • Minimum 6+ years of professional experience in interior design, with leadership experience on high-end projects
  • Demonstrable experience in residential, commercial, or international projects
  • A portfolio showcasing strong design sensibility and versatility across interior typologies
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction and interior detailing
  • Familiarity with bespoke joinery, FF&E sourcing, and luxury fit-out
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work proactively, manage deadlines, and maintain design quality under pressure
  • Comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams and contributing to the design conversation at all stages

Salary & Benefits
The company believes that great design comes from great teams. Their studio fosters an environment where creativity, rigour, and experimentation are celebrated. Benefits include:

  • Salary of between £45,000 and £55,000 depending on experience
  • Exposure to a wide range of international projects and typologies
  • Creative studio environment with a strong design ethos
  • Ongoing opportunities for personal and professional growth
  • Collaborative, open culture where ideas are encouraged and explored
  • Hybrid working policy (subject to role requirements)
  • Opportunities to participate in design reviews, lectures, and studio initiatives
  • Support for professional memberships and CPD
  • Annual team events and studio trips
