Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in hotel or hospitality design.
  • Strong portfolio in hospitality interiors required.
  • Ability to work within budgets and deadlines.

Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a highly motivated and creative Senior Interior Designer to lead new hotel development projects and manage refurbishments of existing properties.

We are looking for:

  • A Senior Interior Designer to manage projects from inception to completion.
  • The ideal candidate will be competent in full hospitality projects throughout all design phases from concept to completion, whilst adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Responsible for in-house design production and managing external design consultants, reporting to the design director.

What you can do for us

  • Manage & lead Staycity projects from inception to completion.
  • Manage external designers, consultants, and contractors.
  • Create and prepare mood boards, sketch layouts, and design presentations.
  • Utilize 3D and 2D software, hand-drawn sketches, renders, and diagrams.
  • Prepare drawings for all design and pre-construction phases, including brief, concept, developed design, technical, and construction packs.
  • Create & produce detailed joinery drawings.
  • Select and create FF&E schedules, material & finishes schedules.
  • Liaise and coordinate with internal colleagues/departments.
  • Travel to sites across the UK & Europe and carry out reports.
  • Collaborate with in-house design team members and support the design team with other projects and weekly tasks.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in hotel or hospitality design.
  • Motivated to achieve high-quality design and documentation to execute multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture or Interior Design.
  • A team player, able to support others alongside their own project work.
  • Highly creative problem-solver, organized, and self-motivated, with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign & Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent technical drawing skills and understanding of joinery detailing.
  • Experience across all RIBA stages and phases of design.
  • Success leading hospitality projects from concept to completion, including on-site experience.
  • Knowledge of Irish, UK, and EU building regulations and standards.
  • Ability to work within budgets and deadlines.
  • Strong concept generation and visualization skills.
  • Experience in FF&E and finishes schedules.
  • Strong spatial awareness and space planning skills.
  • Good relationships with global suppliers for FF&E.
  • Excellent English communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
