Job summary

GCA is seeking a Senior Interaction Designer in Liverpool to lead complex, high-impact transactional services. You will mentor contractors, drive WCAG-compliant inclusive design, and shape service strategy across Discovery to Live phases.

You'll work with engineers, policy leads, and PMs to translate constraints into human-centered solutions, while leveraging GOV.UK Design System and design tokens.

Qualifications

• Proven end-to-end interaction design experience in an Agile environment.
• Ability to prototype with Figma, HTML/CSS or design toolkits.
• Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.2 and inclusive design principles.
• Experience applying GOV.UK Design System and building reusable UI patterns.
• Evidence-based design decisions supported by research and data.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end journey design with wireframes and interaction touchpoints.
• Create rapid prototypes to test hypotheses and iterate quickly.
• Ensure accessibility across all digital touchpoints.
• Extend design systems while delivering new UI patterns.
• Collaborate with researchers, content designers, and analysts.
