Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine and Anaesthesia to join a 10 session per week commitment. You will provide ICU cover, participate in on-call rotas, and contribute to anaesthesia services to sustain the ICU workforce and patient care.

The role requires CCTs in ICM and Anaesthesia (or within six months of attainment). The unit includes 21 ICU beds with flexible level 2/3 capacity and ties into a regional arterial hub, supporting staff

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration with licence to practise.
• FFICM or equivalent Diploma.
• CCT (or equivalent) with entry on Specialist Register for Intensive Care or within six months of anticipated CCT.
• FRCA or equivalent Diploma.
• CCT (or equivalent) with entry on Specialist Register for Anaesthesia or within six months of anticipated CCT.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in ICM and anaesthesia.
• Minimum of 1 year worked within NHS.
• FUSIC accreditation.

Responsabilités

• Provide ICU cover alongside other Intensivists with on-call rotas.
• Contribute to daytime and weekend ICU consultant cover.
• Undertake anaesthesia sessions to meet a 10 PA contract with SPA time included.
• Work to GPICS guidelines for staffing and patient ratios.
• Engage in clinical governance, audits and teaching.
