Job summary

Exalto Consulting ltd is recruiting for a large-scale enterprise integration role on a full-time contract from 1 September 2026 to 16 November 2026. The position is hybrid, based around Leeds/Wakefield, with at least one day onsite per week and occasional regional travel.

The role expects strong experience delivering secure, reliable integrations using FHIR, HL7 v2.x and RESTful APIs, plus CI/CD, Git, cloud platforms and middleware within Agile and DevOps environments.

Qualifications

• Strong enterprise software engineering and systems integration background.
• Commercial experience with FHIR and HL7 v2.x.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and secure software development.
• Agile and DevOps delivery experience; CI/CD.
• Experience with Git, automated testing, and cloud-based development.
• Willingness to travel to Leeds/Wakefield at least weekly.
• Experience with integration engines and middleware is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver secure, reliable integrations across complex enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with Architects, BAs, Delivery Managers and stakeholders.
• Develop secure APIs, integration services and reusable components.
• Build interfaces using FHIR, HL7 v2.x and RESTful APIs.
• Integrate with complex enterprise platforms, including EPR and PAS systems.
• Support integration testing, deployment, go-live and early-life support.
• Troubleshoot integration issues across multiple systems; develop automated tests.
• Work within Agile delivery and CI/CD environments.
• Produce technical, API and interface documentation.
• Support code reviews and maintain high software engineering standards.

Salary: £99,139 - 99,139 per year

Requirements:

• Strong enterprise software engineering and systems integration background
• Commercial experience with FHIR
• Commercial experience with HL7 v2.x
• Strong RESTful API and web services development experience
• Experience integrating multiple complex systems
• Cloud-based application development experience
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
• Experience with secure software development practices
• Agile and DevOps delivery experience
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with integration engines, middleware and event-driven architecture would be beneficial
• Comfortable attending our Leeds/Wakefield location at least once per week, with some additional regional travel

Responsibilities:

• Work within our multidisciplinary delivery team alongside Architects, Business Analysts, Delivery Managers and technical stakeholders
• Develop secure APIs, integration services and reusable integration components

• Support integration testing, deployment, go-live and early-life support

We are a growing organisation delivering a large-scale integration programme on a full-time contract basis from 1 September 2026 to 16 November 2026. The role is hybrid, based around Leeds/Wakefield, with at least one day per week onsite and occasional regional travel for technical workshops, testing and implementation activities. This is an inside IR35 contract with a rate of £395 per day, and the successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary environment focused on secure, reliable enterprise integration.
