Job summary

The AA is seeking a high-impact Trading professional to shape the performance of its Motor, Van and Home insurance portfolios. You’ll join the Broker Trading team and work with the Head of Trading to translate data and market insight into actions that drive portfolio growth, customer value and commercial results.

You will own day-to-day trading delivery, identify risks and opportunities, and collaborate with Pricing, Proposition, Growth, Operations and Digital to deliver aligned trading

Qualifications

• Experience managing or supporting commercial trading performance within B2C insurance or another regulated consumer business.
• Strong commercial mindset with ability to balance growth, retention, customer value and business performance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability using data and insight to identify opportunities.
• Confidence influencing stakeholders and building effective relationships across cross-functional teams.
• Experience working collaboratively with Pricing, Finance and Proposition to turn insight into action.
• Clear communication skills, including translating complex analysis into practical recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day delivery of the trading plan across Motor, Van and Home insurance.
• Analyse and present trading performance to senior stakeholders with recommendations.
• Partner with Pricing, Proposition and Growth to develop trading initiatives, propositions and customer offers.
• Own the retention discount approach, developing offers that support retention while delivering commercial benefit.
• Monitor competitor, price comparison website and broader market activity to identify trends and opportunities.
• Act as the key trading link across Operations, Digital, Proposition and Growth to align priorities.
• Support trading forecasts and ensure activity complies with regulatory requirements and governance.
