The Client:

A leading global insurance and reinsurance firm is looking for a 5+ PQE insurance lawyer to join their legal team. As a senior lawyer within the team, you will support data privacy matters and handle a range of legal issues across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate insurance-specific contracts such as broker agreements and binding authority agreements.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including partnership, supplier, vendor agreements, and customer terms.
• Lead on data privacy legal matters, advising on compliance with UK and EU laws, including GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act.
• Provide legal support on regulatory issues, including current regulations and upcoming changes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across departments to ensure legal compliance in all business activities.

Qualifications:

• 5+ PQE insurance lawyer, preferably with experience in law firms or insurance companies.
• Experience advising on data privacy is advantageous.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment with strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach.

*Candidates outside of this PQE range with relevant experience will also be considered.
