Job summary

SaccoMann is seeking a Solicitor in Preston to join its Complex Insurance Claims team. The role focuses on high-value Employers and Public Liability defendant claims, with strategic liability guidance, negotiation, and representation at court when needed.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years PQE, strong CPR and insurance litigation knowledge, and a proven ability to manage a busy caseload while delivering excellent client care.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years PQE in Employers and Public Liability claims
• Strong knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and Insurance litigation processes
• Experience advising commercial clients and dealing directly with insurers
• Proven ability to manage own workload, meet deadlines and generate fees
• Excellent client care, communication and IT skills

Responsibilities

• Handle complex insurance claims and advise on liability/indemnity issues
• Manage a diverse caseload of defendant claims
• Provide strategic, practical legal advice to clients and insurers
• Negotiate, mediate and settle claims effectively
• Collaborate with Partners and Senior Associates to strengthen client relationships
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards
• Contribute to business development and firm growth
