Job description:

To strengthen our team for a newly created position in London, we are looking for a proven Senior Insurance Advisor. As our Senior Insurance Advisor, you will ensure the implementation of group insurance programs and act as an advisor to the operative business of the Group in the United Kingdom. You will be part of the international insurance organization of BRVZ / Insurances, supporting the group’s activities worldwide, with offices in 15 countries. This role offers an exciting opportunity in a rapidly growing Group, providing an international work environment at the interface of construction and insurance.

• Support the operative business of the STRABAG Group in the UK in terms of insurance.
• Implement, utilize, and service local policies of international Group Insurance programs.
• Collaborate with international departments of BRVZ Insurance, which lead the placement of large and mega projects and manage special risks outside the scope of annual group covers.
• Act as a liaison between the operative business, UK brokers, and the international insurance team.
• Manage insurance claims by communicating with involved parties, collecting information, ensuring proper reporting, liaising with other departments (e.g., legal, health and safety), and processing claims in the internal IT system.
• Contribute actively to maintaining and expanding business relationships with the UK insurance market.
• Maintain a professional understanding of local laws and regulations regarding insurances (e.g., compulsory classes of insurance) and liaise with international departments.
• Administer premium payments and process insurance documentation in internal IT systems.
• Participate in implementing special projects, procedures, and guidelines to align the operative business with the organization’s strategic goals.
• Ensure organizational compliance with insurance regulations, and review and modify policies and processes to maintain compliance.
• Contribute to aligning insurance management with group insurance directives.

• Excellent communication skills and empathy when dealing with external partners, employees, colleagues, managers, and internal customers.
• Strong analytical and entrepreneurial thinking with effective problem-solving skills.
• A strong personality capable of achieving targets and goals.
• Professional understanding of corporate insurance management.
• Understanding of relevant legal concepts related to insurance.
• Diligent and detail-oriented.
• Relevant professional training or qualifications are desirable but not mandatory.
• Proven knowledge of Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
