Job summary

VerifyUs in Southampton is seeking a Plant Instrument Technician to join an industrial chemical plant support and improvement team. You will perform instrument maintenance, repair and production-critical inspections.

Applicants should have Instrumented Systems experience in a refinery or chemical industry, plus an apprenticeship or traineeship. Qualifications in City and Guilds, ONC, HNC or equivalent, and CompEx or equivalent hazardous-area training are required.

Qualifications

• Instrumented Systems experience in a refinery, chemical or allied industry.
• Apprenticeship or traineeship scheme.
• City and Guilds, ONC, HNC or other qualifications in relevant subject.
• Hazardous area equipment training CompEx or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Instrument maintenance and repair.
• Production critical inspection and repairs.
• Installation and commissioning, equipment review.
• Order and manage spares and equipment from suppliers maintaining adequate economic stores of materials, equipment and tools.
• Liaise with instrument, electrical and other specialist engineers.
