Waters Wilmslow is seeking an Instrument-Control Software (ICS) Engineer to join a cross-portfolio ICs software team. This role offers career growth, skill expansion, and increased experience within an interdisciplinary environment.

You will contribute to MS systems instrument control, collaborate across teams, and promote best practices while mentoring others and helping advance the Quality Management System. Flexible working and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in hardware control software, embedded systems, real-time h/w control.
• Strong C++/C# knowledge.
• Background in embedded or acquisition-system software.
• Solid engineering practices (Unit Testing, TDD, CI/CD, SOLID, BDD).

A successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary team and work as part of a cross portfolio ICs software team.

Theprogram team is expanding and offers excellent potential for career and skill expansion and has responsibility acrossMass Spectrometry,Chromatographyand Informatics, partnering directly with customers and industry leaders to drive innovation in markets and powering breakthroughs in precision medicine and advanced therapeutics.

Qualifications

What you bring

Experience in hardware control software, embedded systems, real-time h/w control, plus:

• Experience in Angular, TypeScript and Linux development is desired
• Background in embedded or acquisition-system software
• Solid engineering practices (Unit Testing, TDD, CI/CD, SOLID, BDD)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to have (training provided):Agile, Docker/Gradle pipelines, BDD, Atlassian tools, software security,regulated-environmentexperience.
