Job Description:

Kenect Recruitment is seeking a Service Engineer for fire and security systems. The role is based in Northern Ireland with travel across NI & ROI, and involves working on fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, and emergency lighting. The salary ranges from £30,000 to £35,000 DOE. This is a full-time, permanent position suitable for an experienced engineer who enjoys hands-on field work, problem solving, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive service work on fire and security systems.
2. Diagnose faults and ensure systems operate safely and efficiently.
3. Provide onsite repairs and technical support, maintaining high customer service standards.
4. Maintain accurate service records using digital software.
5. Coordinate with field line managers and support teams for timely service delivery.
6. Ensure all work complies with industry regulations (BAFE, NSI Gold).
7. Identify potential risks and recommend system upgrades or improvements.

Qualifications:

• Experience servicing fire and/or security systems.
• CSR Card.
• Strong fault-finding skills and technical knowledge across multiple platforms.
• Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.
• Proactive and flexible attitude towards working hours and travel.
• Full UK driving license.
• Knowledge of compliance standards and digital reporting systems.
