Service Engineer Fire & Security Systems
Location: Northern Ireland (travel across NI & ROI required)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 DOE
Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Kenect Recruitment is working with a well-established and growing provider of fire and security solutions and is seeking a Service Engineer to join their team. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys hands-on field work, problem solving, and delivering exceptional service to clients across various sectors.

Working as part of a close-knit and skilled engineering team, you will carry out planned maintenance, emergency repairs, and system upgrades on a wide range of fire and security systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct planned preventative maintenance and reactive service work on fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control systems, and emergency lighting.
  2. Carry out fault finding and diagnostics to ensure systems are functioning safely and efficiently.
  3. Provide onsite repairs and technical support, maintaining high standards of customer service.
  4. Maintain accurate service records using digital software.
  5. Liaise with the field line manager and back-office support to deliver timely, professional service.
  6. Ensure all work complies with relevant industry regulations and standards (BAFE, NSI Gold).
  7. Identify and report potential risks, recommending upgrades or improvements when needed.
What You'll Bring:
  • Experience servicing fire and/or security systems.
  • CSR Card.
  • Strong fault-finding skills and technical knowledge across multiple platforms.
  • Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.
  • A proactive and flexible attitude to working hours and travel.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards and digital reporting systems.
