Job summary

The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is recruiting a Higher Level Pharmacy Technician to join the inpatient dispensary team in Wakefield. The role oversees accuracy checking, dispensing and supporting the pharmacy workflow with dynamic teamwork.

Ideal candidates will have post-qualification experience, GPHC registration, and a relevant BTEC or equivalent, with opportunities for training and development. The role requires commitment to 7pm shifts and NHS benefits.

Qualifications

• BTEC in Pharmaceutical sciences or equivalent.
• Registered with GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Certificate of Accreditation as a Checking Technician or willing to complete within 18 months once in post.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a wide range of duties within the inpatient dispensary including medicines management systems.
• Check dispensed items for accuracy as an accredited checker.
• Contribute to the efficient delivery of the Pharmaceutical Service to Patients, Wards and Departments.

Education

BTEC in Pharmaceutical sciences or equivalent

Registered with GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician

Certificate of Accreditation as Checking Technician
