Job summary

Fife College is recruiting an Infrastructure Team Leader to drive operation, support and continual development of core IT infrastructure across campuses. You will lead the team, manage major projects and ensure security, resilience and availability of services.

The role blends hands-on technical leadership with people management, offering hybrid working, generous leave and ongoing professional development as part of the Digital Services team.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level (SCQF Level 9) in a relevant discipline, or equivalent recent experience in a similar role.
• Proven experience leading and developing a technical infrastructure team.
• Experience administering enterprise infrastructure environments across computer, virtualisation, storage, backup and networking technologies.
• Experience administering Windows and Linux server environments together with enterprise identity, authentication, collaboration and productivity platforms.
• Experience maintaining the security, resilience and availability of business‑critical infrastructure services.
• Strong technical troubleshooting, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operation, support, monitoring and continual development of the College's infrastructure services and platforms.
• Provide leadership, direction, performance management and professional development for the Infrastructure team.
• Lead infrastructure projects, technology refresh programmes and service improvement initiatives.
• Maintain and continually improve the security, resilience, availability and recoverability of College infrastructure and services.
• Support the adoption and operation of enterprise identity, authentication, collaboration and productivity services across on‑premises and cloud environments.
• Act as the senior technical escalation point for major incidents, complex technical issues and cyber security events.
• Manage relationships with infrastructure suppliers and partners, supporting the delivery of reliable and cost‑effective services.
