Job summary

Blues Point Ltd. is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer in Birmingham for a hybrid role. The position combines infrastructure, security and governance, with ownership of critical platforms and proactive risk management.

You will work with the Head of IT, help manage third‑party suppliers, and contribute to ISO 27001 compliance and incident response. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience across infrastructure, systems administration and IT security.
• ISO 27001 experience highly advantageous.
• Experience with third‑party IT suppliers and governance controls.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) is useful but not required.
• Experience in change management, ITSM processes and security remediation.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of infrastructure and security platforms; ensure reliability and security.
• Identify and mitigate infrastructure, security and operational risks.
• Support vulnerability assessments, security testing and remediation.
• Manage on‑premises and cloud infrastructure and services.
• Support ISO 27001 controls, risk management and audit readiness.
• Manage identity and access controls and privileged access reviews.
• Oversee patching, maintenance and technical remediation.
• Manage backup and recovery solutions and restoration testing.
• Monitor performance, availability and resilience of IT systems.
• Support incident response and post‑incident reviews.
• Deliver infrastructure improvements within governance and change controls.
