Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Project Controls Engineer in Manchester to support major infrastructure projects across rail, highways, water and utilities. You will work within the Project Controls team, delivering performance reporting, baseline management and data-driven recommendations to clients.

Expertise in planning systems (Primavera, MS Project, Project Online, Asta Powerproject) and EVM is essential, with collaboration across cost and planning engineers and senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable knowledge of best practice planning principles and how client objectives drive plans.
• Technical competence in schedule construction: WBS, calendars, durations, logic, CPD networks and buffers.
• Working knowledge of planning systems: Primavera, Project Online, Microsoft Project, Asta Powerproject.
• Assurance reviews to ensure high-quality schedules using Primavera Schedlog or Acumen Fuse/ DCMA 14 Point Checklist.
• Effective schedule monitoring and control: baseline management, progress data collection, variance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop work breakdown structures and robust performance baselines with cost and planning engineers.
• Establish progress and cost monitoring methods and produce project control reports.
• Provide performance analysis and recommendations for clients; chair weekly meetings and risk reviews.
