Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking an Infrastructure Manager to own the college's core IT infrastructure, ensuring stability, performance and security across on-site systems. You will lead VMware vSphere administration and manage storage, backups and disaster recovery while guiding a team of IT specialists.

This on-site role requires travel between sites, strong experience in VMware, Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and M365 adoption.

Qualifications

Significant experience in IT infrastructure environments.
Hands-on VMware vSphere administration across versions 7, 8 or 9.
Experience administering M365 and working with Windows Server, AD, DNS/DHCP, and SCCM.
Awareness of networking concepts and security controls.

Responsibilities

Own the college's core IT infrastructure, ensuring stability, performance and security.
Lead VMware environment administration including VM lifecycle, storage, backup and DR planning.
Manage on-premises and cloud networking, security updates and IAM using EntraID/Azure AD.
Support strategic tech projects, migrations to Microsoft 365, and digital workplace initiatives.
Act as senior escalation point, mentor junior engineers and drive best practices.
