Job summary

Smart 4 EPC is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its civil engineering team on major infrastructure projects across roads, tunnels and motorways. You will prepare and manage cost estimates, review tender documents and liaise with supply chain partners to secure quotes.

A strong command of Candy and NEC contract awareness is essential. You will work closely with tender planners to ensure accurate, timely submissions and to support successful bids that align with project objectives and

Qualifications

• Experience as an estimator for large-scale infrastructure projects (roads, tunnels, motorways).
• Proficient in Candy estimating software.
• Extensive liaison with supply chain and subcontractors.
• Able to prepare cost estimates and risk analyses.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to health and safety compliance.
• Prepare, manage and supervise the development of cost estimates for projects.
• Review tender documents and drawings.
• Create detailed cost risk analyses and work breakdown structures.
• Compile and supervise enquiries and procure quotes from materials and sub-contractors.
• Liaise with tender planner to agree methodology.
• Prepare submission documents and handover secured tenders.
• Ensure compliance with core processes during tender period.
• Estimate preliminary costs including escalation.
• Update databases of rates and suppliers.
