Job summary

Smart 4 EPC is seeking an experienced estimator in the UK to prepare and manage cost estimates for major infrastructure projects, including roads, tunnels and motorways. You will review tender documents, develop cost risk analyses, and liaise with the supply chain to secure quotes and ensure timely tender submissions.

The role requires proficiency with Candy estimating software and a strong grasp of NEC and other contract forms, with a proactive, team-focused approach to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience as estimator for large scale road, tunnel and motorway projects.
• Prepare tender settlement reviews and supporting information.
• Proficient in Candy estimation software.
• Extensive experience liaising with the supply chain.
• Understand NEC/infrastructure contracts risks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, manage and supervise accurate estimates for major infrastructure projects.
• Review tender documents and drawings.
• Create detailed cost risk analyses and work breakdown structures.
• Identify and prepare risks and opportunities register.
• Compile and supervise enquiries and procure quotes for materials and sub-contract packages.
• Prepare submission documents and ensure timely delivery.
• Contribute to mid-tender and post-tender meetings.
