Job summary

The Institute of Ismaili Studies (IIS) is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to maintain and develop the Aga Khan Centre (AKC)'s technical infrastructure, covering servers, networks, cloud services, security, and AV systems.

You will act as an escalation point, provide technical consultancy, horizon scanning, and work with the IT team and users to deliver reliable, secure technology solutions in a diverse academic environment.

Qualifications

Azure or ITIL qualifications with strong IT fundamentals.
Solid knowledge of operating systems, networks, cloud services, and security.
Experience providing advanced technical support and escalation handling.
Experience in technical consultancy, horizon scanning, and planning.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills across levels.
Leadership and mentoring experience to support colleagues.
Experience with educational technologies or LMS/VLE is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide technical infrastructure support across the AKC.
Manage and develop AKC technical infrastructure: servers, networks, cloud services.
Act as technical consultant on projects, horizon scanning and planning.
Collaborate with IT team and users to deliver secure, reliable solutions.
