Job summary

A leading construction engineering firm based in Central London is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their expanding team. You will be responsible for overseeing core infrastructure and networking, working with managed service providers to ensure seamless operations. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Azure management and network protocols, experience with FortiGate Firewalls and Windows OS, and be able to manage site connectivity solutions effectively. This role offers a competitive salary of up to £80k and a hybrid working model after initial onsite requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Azure infrastructure management.
• Strong in network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS); ideally holds a CCNA/CCNP.
• Experience with FortiGate Firewalls and Windows Operating Systems.
• Familiarity with WAN, LAN, VPN, and wireless networks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage office and site networks, aligning with business strategy.
• Act as an escalation point for the Service Desk Team.
• Set up and configure Local Area Networks (LANs).
• Coordinate with third‑party MSPs for network and infrastructure management.
• Manage firewall operations and connectivity with ISPs.
• Oversee network IP addressing and VPN setups.
• Support business continuity through proactive incident management.
• Rapid deployment of site connectivity solutions.
• Monitor network health and performance.
• Maintain inventory and configuration records for infrastructure.
• Collaborate with the Security Operations Center (SOC) on network security.
• Support software licensing and upgrades.
• Support data privacy and security audits.
• Provide technical support and mentoring.
• Maintain server rooms and ensure operational efficiency.
• Develop and implement business processes and documentation.
