Job summary

SCP Infrastructure & Design, a RS K Group company, is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead highways and drainage design on a mix of residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Leeds-based with hybrid working (3 days in office, 2 days at home), you’ll mentor engineers and coordinate design inputs for robust, compliant solutions.

You will shape designs, liaise with clients and project managers, and drive quality and efficiency across nationally significant schemes.

Qualifications

• Highways and drainage design experience across roads, foul and surface water.
• Experience across multiple sectors (residential, commercial, industrial, etc).
• Experience producing technical reports such as Drainage Strategies, FRAs and O&M Manuals.
• Confident communicator with ability to guide and influence others.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Leading the technical delivery of highways and drainage designs on medium to large projects.
• Producing and checking drawings, calculations, and specifications to a high standard.
• Providing day-to-day technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and technicians.
• Coordinating design inputs and managing workloads to meet programme deadlines.
• Reviewing outputs to ensure compliance with standards, legislation, and best practice.
• Supporting client engagement and contributing to design discussions and solutions.
• Keeping abreast of regulatory changes and championing quality across the team.
