Job summary

RSK LDE (Land and Development Engineering) is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead infrastructure design projects from concept to completion within a team of industry experts. The role focuses on technical delivery, stakeholder management and practical solutions for complex developments.

You will oversee design production, liaise with authorities, and ensure projects meet time and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or HNC qualification.
• Experience in drawing production and the design of roads, sewers and residential developments.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, PDS for highway design, ground modelling and CIRIA SuDS Manual.
• Understanding of Designer’s duties under CDM Regulations 2015.
• Knowledge of Sewers for Adoption 6th/7th Edition.

Responsibilities

• Understand fee preparation and project cost budgets whilst assisting in mentoring and managing more junior members of staff.
• Prepare infrastructure designs and technical drawings using AutoCAD and other industry-standard software.
• Work collaboratively within the design team to deliver projects to agreed timescales and quality standards.
• Liaise with Local Authorities and Drainage Authorities to secure approvals for adoptable works (Sections 104, 38 and 278).
• Coordinate programme, communication and project requirements to support successful project delivery.
• Undertake engineering calculations and designs in accordance with current standards, codes of practice and industry best practice.

The Vacancy

We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at LDE, an RSK Group company. This is a full time and permanent position that would suit someone who is wanting to work with a team of industry experts.

LDE are a building services engineering consultancy based in the Wigan area. Formed in 2003, RSK LDE provide a complete engineering design service for residential and commercial development projects, both pre and post planning. It now has a highly experienced team made up of professional civil and structural engineering staff with many years’ experience in the assessment, design and construction of major development projects.

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to take ownership of the technical delivery of infrastructure design projects, providing expert engineering guidance from concept through to completion. The successful candidate will possess excellent technical, commercial and stakeholder management skills, enabling them to develop innovative and practical solutions for clients and project teams.
