Lightning AI is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer to operate and scale our world‑class GPU and bare‑metal infrastructure behind a leading AI platform. The role spans Linux, networking, storage, provisioning, and cluster orchestration, with a focus on reliability and automation.

You will own end-to-end operational workflows, build tooling to reduce repetitive work, and collaborate across engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams to resolve complex issues in

Qualifikationen

• Experience operating Linux-based production infrastructure at scale.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure across compute, networking, storage, and OS.
• Strong automation scripting using Python/Go/Bash/Ansible or similar tools.

Aufgaben

• Operate and troubleshoot large-scale GPU and bare-metal infrastructure across Linux, compute, networking, storage, and cluster orchestration.
• Serve as a technical escalation point for complex infrastructure issues, driving from investigation to resolution and root cause analysis.
• Own operational workflows across the infra lifecycle: provisioning, configuration, validation, maintenance, remediation, decommissioning.
• Build automation and internal tooling to eliminate repetitive work and scale the fleet.
• Identify recurring failure modes and work with Infra Eng to improve reliability and automation.
• Improve provisioning, monitoring, diagnostics, and processes across the growing infra footprint.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure Engineering, Network Engineering, Data Center Ops, Customer Experience, and Platform Eng to resolve cross-team issues.
• Participate in distributed on-call rotation for production infra.
